June 9th Pet Peeves

Just a few more Pet Peeves of mine:

23.  People who complain about everything.  If you don't like it do something about it!

24. Silence.  I really can't stand silence.  I always need to have some sort of noise in the background.  I like having music on when I work, etc.

25.  People who "pass gas" so much you can't be around them.  I have a friend who fits this category and I just don't get it.

26.  People who walk really slow.

27.  Bugs

28.  People who blame fast food companies for being fat.  Its not their fault.  You do have a choice to eat there or not. 

29.   People who write checks to pay for things

30.  Drivers who give me or anyone "the bird".  I might get angry at other drivers but flicking someone off is crossing the line in my opinion.  These people must have some inner issues to do something like that.

June 6th Pet Peeves

14.  Traffic - I really hate sitting in traffic

15.  People who hold doors for me when I'm like 40 feet away - I know they are being nice and I always say thank you but it sure is awkward when they are just standing there holding the door for me and it takes me 10 seconds to get there.  I feel like I should run.  Don't worry about holding the door for me if I'm so far away. 

16.  Bed Sheets that aren't smooth.  I like really tight sheets.  I was in Mexico on vacation and the maid put the bottom sheet on so poorly.  I actually called the front desk to have the maid make sure to make the bed the right way.  I know that sounds like I'm a jerk but I didn't want to have to re-make the bed every day.

17.  CNN - Man I really hate when CNN is on.  For some odd reason I just can't stand CNN.  Any other news channel is fine.

18.  People who go to work at 5:30am, have lunch at 10:45am, eat dinner at 4:30pm and go to bed at 9pm.  Actually this doesn't really bother me but I promise you I will never be one of those people.

19.  People who come into work on Monday and ask me if the Vikings won or not.  I know you don't like sports but come on man.  Everyone should know who won the Vikings game!

20.  People who put the toilet paper on the roll so it rolls from underneath and not over the top.

21.  Lazy people

22.  People on welfare - Or just welfare in general.  I understand if you lost your job and need the money but people really need to take responsibility for themselves and save when you do have a job and if you don't have a job do whatever it takes to get a job.  And if you can't find work learn as much as you can about starting your own business.  I have another blog on how to make money selling stuff on Amazon and Ebay.  It won't cost you a dime to get started and you can easily make $2-4K a month full time and $1K a month part time.

Ok.  That's all I could think of off the top of my head.

June 4th Pet Peeves

Just a few more that I thought of:

11. People who slow down into a green light and people who speed up into a red light. It happens but not sure why. I really hate missing a green light when I'm the passenger when we could have made it if the driver just drove a little quicker!

12. Bad Smelling Perfume. There's certain people that I can't be friends with or be near just because of their perfume. I might really get a long with these people but that perfume smell just turns me off. Sorry.

13. Clouds and Wind. What is the purpose of clouds and wind? I understand we need rain but I really like the sun and calm days. Does anyone like the wind other than sailors?

June 3rd Pet Peeves

As I get older things I have found that more and more things can annoy me and I wanted to share with you my observations, frustrations, annoyances, etc. I know I shouldn't sweat the small stuff and I have really learned more patience over the past year but hey I sure have come up with a long list of pet peeves and annoyances to share with all of you.

1. Opening the "Handicap Door". At least 90% of the time I go through the doors to my office building I notice that people choose to open the handicap door instead of the regular door. It doesn't matter if the door is on the right side or the left side people are just drawn to this for some reason. The door is a little harder to open because its set up to be used electronically so I just don't get it. Let me know if you guys have noticed the same thing. I always just open the normal, less difficult door.

2. Really slow drivers in the left lane. I am a carpooler and I like to get to where I'm going as quickly as possible. It has made me so upset when I'm stuck behind someone who is driving so slow in the left lane (the carpool lane during rush hour). Please just get over into one of the other lanes if you are going to drive so slow. Oh, and don't get me started about buses in the left lane!

3. People who take up two parking spots. I'm guessing they think their car is so much better than everyone else's and there's no way they would allow someone to park next to them because heaven forbid they may get a little ding in their side. I used to try to squeeze my car into the spot they tried to take up. I once got a very nice letter from someone who said they couldn't get into their car because I parked too close! That made me smile. I'm sure they got in from the passenger side.

4. People who talk so quietly you can't hear them. I really hate when I have to keep saying "what did you say" or "can you say that again". Sometimes I just say "yeah" or "that's cool" and move on to something else. I'm sure the same can be said for someone talking to loudly.

5. People who are on their cell phones texting. That is so annoying to me. I can't tell you how many times I've seen people at a restaurant sitting across from each other just texting away. Oral communication people!

6. Old Dudes walking around naked in the locker room. Come on man!

7. People taking the elevator to go down one level. Stairs people, its good for you.

8. Commercials. Glad we have DVR now.

9. People who don't wash their hands after using the restroom. Happens all the time and that is why I always use a paper tower when turning on the faucet or opening the door. I'm guessing the cleaning lady (or man) doesn't clean the door handle. Just something to be aware of.

 10. When my favorite show gets canceled midway through the season. This has happened so many times. I don't get why these shows don't get better ratings. Shows like Daybreak and many others I can't think of. Also, some great shows get canceled after one season like Three Rivers. I'm sure most of you have heard of these shows which would make sense since the ratings were so low.

These are just some I thought of today. I know I have at least 100 pet peeves and will share more later.
